Thanks for your question about the library’s study rooms! You do need a reservation to get into a study room. Currently, we have a reservation system for booking a room using this link: https://hfcc.libcal.com/spaces?lid=17953.

Here are some key things to remember when reserving a room:

• Most study rooms hold a maximum of 4 students, and a group must consist of at least 2 students (there is one space, room 115, that holds 2 students and can be made available to a single user who needs it for a live class session).

• Students with a valid Hawkmail address can reserve a study room for up to two hours per day.

• Only one student in a group needs to make the reservation but that individual and at least one other person must be present for the room to be unlocked.

• Reservations should be made at least 24 hours in advance but can be made for up to 7 days ahead. Reservation requests are granted in the order they are received.

• If the room is locked, staff at the circulation desk can help you get into the room when it is time for your reservation to begin.

• If the study room is locked, or if you need supplies for the whiteboard, please see the Circulation Desk for assistance.

• Please do not leave your things unattended in the study room. We cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items. If a member of the library staff sees unattended belongings in a study room, we will give them to Campus Safety for lost and found.
