If you are using GoogleDocs, Click on "Insert". Select "Headers & footers". Select either the Header or the Footer, as appropriate. If you click on "Options" you can insert page numbers, have a different First Page for a cover page, and set margins. See the attached pdf for step-by-step instructions.
