Thank you for your question about how to locate the library's specialized online encyclopedias.
Gale Virtual Reference Library is now known as Gale eBooks. To get to this database of online encyclopedias and reference materials, go to the the Library Homepage, click on Ebooks. Scroll down a little and click on Gale eBooks (formerly Gale Virtual Reference Library).
(As of fall 2022, you no longer need an HFC library card (barcode) to access the library’s databases from off campus. Please use your HFC username and password to log in.)
Once you are in the database, you can search for your topic using the search box near the top. Please keep in mind that your search will work best if you use keywords instead of questions or full sentences. For example you could search "Ancient Greece" or Cleopatra.
