Thank you for your question about how social media affects people.
I see that you need facts and figures. Below you will find information and links for credible resources on social media and statistical information.
Try searching these keywords:
- Social media
- Statistics
- Demographics
- "Social media use"
For Books, search the Catalog. Use your keywords in the search box; your results will be a list of books and how to access them.
For Articles, from the Library Homepage click on Articles.
(As of fall 2022, you no longer need an HFC library card (barcode) to access the library’s databases from off campus. Please use your HFC username and password to log in.)
Once you click on Articles, use your search terms in these databases:
- Gale General Onefile
- Business Insights: Global
- Business Abstracts with Full Text
- Opposing Viewpoints (Gale in Context) - make sure to look at the "Statistics" section in your Results to find facts and graphs.
- Use the Advanced Search boxes and combine your terms to narrow your search. Make sure to limit your results by checking the Full Text box. Once you have your result list, it can be sorted by relevance or date. From your list of results, open articles by clicking on the name of the article or the full text icon. This may be different depending on which database you use.
- If you would like to view videos on using the databases, click on the following links.
