How to find Library eBooks?

Answer

To find eBooks through the library, go to the Library's Homepage and click on eBooks to get a list of the library's eBook collections. Each one includes a description to help you choose which is most relevant.

You can also find them by going to library databases, where you can limit to eBooks using the following 3-step process:

1. Near the top, click on the pull-down menu that says "All Subjects" and select the one that says "eBooks".

2. Select the eBook database you would like to search. Each database has a brief description, to help you make your decision based on the content. Once you select an eBook database, login using your HFC username and password.

(As of fall 2022, you no longer need an HFC library card (barcode) to access the library’s databases from off campus. Please use your HFC username and password to log in.)

NOTE: Different database vendors will have different layouts, but they all have the same basic functionality. Anything that is "full text" you should be able to read online, download at least a portion of the text, and print a portion of the text. If you need help using the various different platforms, see the end of this answer for video links.

3. Read your book!
